Job Overview
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing all financial operations, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and contributing to strategic decision-making. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of financial principles and their application within the energy sector.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
- Oversee accounting operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting standards.
- Manage cash flow, treasury functions, and banking relationships.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support business growth.
- Implement and maintain robust internal financial controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Proven expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Solid understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
