Job Overview
This role requires a seasoned and reliable Driver responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles, ensuring the timely transportation of personnel and materials across various operational sites in Lagos and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain a high standard of professionalism, adherence to traffic laws, and vehicle maintenance.Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles in accordance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Transport personnel, equipment, and materials to designated locations promptly and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure optimal mechanical condition.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure all fluid levels are adequate.
- Report any mechanical issues or accidents immediately to the fleet manager.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and procedures.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and destinations.
Requirements
- Valid Nigerian Driver's License (minimum Category B).
- Proven experience as a professional driver, preferably within the oil and gas or related industry.
- Excellent knowledge of Lagos and surrounding road networks.
- Demonstrated ability to operate various types of vehicles.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
- Clean driving record with no major traffic violations.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays if required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
