Job Overview
The Engineering Manager (Mechanical) will be responsible for overseeing all mechanical engineering operations within the agrochemical formulation plant. This includes managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring the optimal performance of plant machinery, and implementing robust maintenance strategies to maximize uptime and minimize operational costs.Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the mechanical engineering department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of all mechanical equipment and systems within the formulation plant.
- Develop and implement preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to ensure machinery reliability and longevity.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and company policies.
- Manage spare parts inventory and procurement processes for mechanical components.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to optimize operational efficiency.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide training and development opportunities for the engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in a mechanical engineering leadership role within a chemical or agrochemical formulation plant.
- Strong understanding of process equipment, pumps, valves, piping systems, and rotating machinery.
- Expertise in maintenance planning, scheduling, and execution.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in relevant engineering software and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a manufacturing environment.
