Job Overview
The Education Specialist will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and monitoring Street Child's education programmes in Nigeria. This position requires a strategic thinker with a passion for improving educational access and quality for vulnerable children, particularly those impacted by conflict.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative education project strategies aligned with Street Child's mission.
- Conduct needs assessments and data collection to inform programme design and adaptation.
- Provide technical guidance and capacity building to local partners and staff.
- Monitor project progress, evaluate outcomes, and report on key performance indicators.
- Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and best practices in all programme activities.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, local communities, and other NGOs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Proven experience in designing and managing education programmes, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
- Strong understanding of child protection and safeguarding principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and monitoring tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a diverse team environment.
- Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of local Nigerian languages is an advantage.
