Job Overview
The Driver plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of CRS staff, goods, and equipment within project areas and to/from designated locations. This position is vital for the smooth execution of CRS operations and program delivery in Nigeria.Key Responsibilities
- Operate CRS vehicles safely and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport staff, visitors, and project materials to various locations as assigned.
- Maintain vehicles in good working condition, ensuring regular servicing and reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure the cleanliness and readiness of assigned vehicles for daily use.
- Log mileage, fuel consumption, and other relevant data accurately.
- Assist with loading and unloading of goods as needed.
- Follow security protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements
- Valid Nigerian driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with an NGO or international organization.
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and road networks in Nigeria.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English and local languages.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
