Job Overview
The Driver will be responsible for safe and timely transportation of personnel, materials, and equipment to various project sites within Nigeria. This position plays a vital role in facilitating LTR’s on-the-ground activities and ensuring program continuity.Key Responsibilities
- Operate LTR vehicles in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Transport staff, beneficiaries, and project materials to designated locations.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure it is in good working order.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Assist with loading and unloading of materials as needed.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and trips undertaken.
Requirements
- Valid Nigerian driver's license.
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably with an NGO or non-profit organization.
- Familiarity with routes and transportation networks within Nigeria.
- Excellent knowledge of vehicle maintenance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
