Job Overview
The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of diesel engines and related machinery. This position requires hands-on expertise and a thorough understanding of mechanical and electrical systems specific to diesel vehicles and equipment.Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on diesel engines.
- Diagnose and repair engine malfunctions, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
- Conduct electrical system diagnostics and repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work performed.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
Requirements
- Minimum of five (5) O'Level credits including English Language and Mathematics in not more than two sittings.
- A minimum of two (2) years of cognate experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines.
- Knowledge of diesel engine components and systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
