Job Overview
The Accounts & MIS Officer will be responsible for managing and processing financial transactions, preparing accurate financial reports, and developing and maintaining management information systems to support strategic decision-making. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and technical skills.Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Management Information Systems (MIS) for efficient data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Generate regular MIS reports on key performance indicators to support operational and strategic planning.
- Assist with budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and tax requirements in Nigeria.
- Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial and MIS records.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certification (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CPA) is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting and MIS roles, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of financial principles and reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
- Ability to design and manage databases and reporting tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
