- * Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS). * Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice verification, payment processing, and timely collections. * Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. * Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, identifying trends and recommending corrective actions. * Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, contributing to the development of realistic financial plans. * Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations. * Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- * Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAN) is highly desirable. * Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within the Oil & Gas industry. * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel. * Strong understanding of Nigerian financial regulations and tax laws. * Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
