- To qualify for the 2026/2027 Nedbank YES Programme, applicants must:

- Be South African youth between 18 and 29 years old as of 1 May 2026 (born between 2 May 1997 and 1 May 2008)
- Have at least a Matric (Grade 12) qualification, or a post-matric qualification at one of the following levels: NQF Level 5 – Higher Certificate NQF Level 6 – Diploma NQF Level 7 – Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
- NQF Level 5 – Higher Certificate
- NQF Level 6 – Diploma
- NQF Level 7 – Advanced Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree
- Be currently unemployed
- Be South African-born African, Coloured, or Indian citizens, in line with the BBBEE Act definition of “black people”
- Not have previously participated in a YES Programme with another organisation
