Job Overview

The Veterinary Diagnostician will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic services to support our diverse animal health operations. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary pathology, microbiology, and parasitology, with a focus on delivering high-quality laboratory analysis and contributing to disease prevention and control strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct diagnostic tests on biological samples (blood, tissue, feces, etc.) to identify diseases and pathogens.
  • Interpret laboratory results and prepare comprehensive diagnostic reports.
  • Utilize various diagnostic techniques, including microscopy, serology, PCR, and bacterial/fungal culturing.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure adherence to quality control standards.
  • Provide technical support and advice to internal teams and external clients on diagnostic findings and disease management.
  • Stay abreast of advancements in veterinary diagnostics and implement new methodologies as appropriate.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM).
  • A Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Veterinary Pathology, Microbiology, Parasitology) is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in a veterinary diagnostic laboratory setting.
  • Proficient in a range of diagnostic techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
