Job Title: Territorial Distribution Officer (TDO)

The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is seeking a results-driven Territorial Distribution Officer (TDO) to manage and expand the distribution of Scriptures and related materials within the Abuja territory. This role is responsible for planning, forecasting, and executing territory-wide distribution and marketing activities in line with BSN’s strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will strengthen customer relationships, improve market coverage, and ensure efficient inventory and distribution management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, forecast, and implement territory-specific marketing and distribution programmes that support effective stock movement and optimal warehouse space usage
- Identify the Scripture and product needs of existing and prospective customers, and strategically position BSN products to meet market demand
- Expand and manage a broad customer base by developing new markets and strengthening distribution channels
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships through regular outlet visits, phone engagements, and organised customer service forums
- Ensure effective inventory control and proper management of Scripture stock within the territory
- Support the Distribution Manager with product development initiatives, market research, and related distribution activities
- Maintain accurate monthly and annual records of brand performance and customer activity within the territory
- Prepare and submit regular performance and territory reports to support management decision-making
- Develop an annual territorial distribution plan by product brand for integration into BSN’s corporate distribution strategy

- Computer literacy with the ability to use reporting and accounting tools
- Sound numerical and data analysis skills
Knowledge
- Good understanding of the Nigerian Bible market and customer diversity
- Working knowledge of Sage 50 and/or QuickBooks
- Strong familiarity with Abuja road networks and surrounding areas

- Effectively manage end-to-end distribution chains
- Contribute to local, regional, and global marketing development initiatives
- Sustain profitable and long-term customer relationships
- Apply marketing mix strategies to drive distribution growth
- Speak Hausa fluently to engage effectively with customers in the region
