Job Overview
The Senior Officer, Transformation Portfolio Management will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating a portfolio of transformative programs and projects within Save the Children Nigeria. This position is integral to ensuring the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting of initiatives aligned with our strategic goals, particularly in health systems strengthening and maternal and child health.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a comprehensive portfolio management framework and tools.
Support project managers in developing and refining project plans, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
Monitor portfolio performance, identify deviations from plans, and recommend corrective actions.
Facilitate regular portfolio review meetings and ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
Contribute to strategic planning processes and the identification of new program opportunities.
Ensure effective coordination and collaboration among project teams and across departments.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Development Studies, Project Management).
Proven experience in program and portfolio management within the development sector, preferably in Nigeria.
Strong understanding of health systems strengthening and maternal and child health programming.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
