Job Overview

The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and integrity of Mikano’s operations in Kano. This position demands a proactive approach to financial management, comprehensive reporting, and the application of sound accounting principles to support the company’s continued growth and strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws in Nigeria.
  • Conduct financial analysis, identify trends, and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Collaborate with auditors for annual financial audits.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and Nigerian accounting practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
