eHealth Systems Africa is seeking an experienced Project Architect – Public Health & Laboratory Infrastructure (Consultant) to design and implement robust health information management systems across Nigeria. This role is critical to advancing our mission of improving healthcare delivery through reliable, scalable digital solutions. You will work with hospitals, NGOs, and donor agencies to develop integrated eHealth and mHealth infrastructure that captures accurate health data and enables evidence-based decision-making at all levels of the health system.
Job Overview
As Project Architect, you will lead the planning, design, and deployment of public health and laboratory information systems. You will assess existing health infrastructure, develop comprehensive architectural frameworks, and oversee implementation to ensure systems are sustainable, interoperable, and aligned with national health priorities. This consulting position requires strategic thinking and hands-on technical expertise to transform health data management across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design scalable health information and laboratory management system architectures
- Conduct assessments of existing healthcare infrastructure and identify improvement opportunities
- Develop technical specifications and implementation roadmaps for eHealth solutions
- Collaborate with hospitals, NGOs, and government stakeholders to align systems with health program objectives
- Oversee system deployment and integration across multiple healthcare facilities
- Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with health information standards
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in health information systems architecture or public health technology
- Strong knowledge of laboratory information systems and clinical workflows
- Proven expertise in system design, interoperability standards, and health data management
- Experience working with NGOs, government health agencies, or international health organizations
- Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Advanced degree in Health Information Systems, Public Health, or related field preferred
