Job Overview

The Physiotherapist will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing individualized physiotherapy programs for patients across various departments, with a focus on critical care. This role requires a strong understanding of musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiorespiratory conditions, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and facilitate recovery.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive physical assessments to diagnose patient conditions.
• Develop and implement evidence-based physiotherapy treatment plans.
• Administer a range of therapeutic interventions including exercise therapy, manual therapy, and electrotherapy.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment programs and home exercises.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution.
• Current registration with the relevant professional body in Nigeria.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Proficiency in various physiotherapy techniques and modalities.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
