Job Overview
The Temporary User Support Specialist will be a vital member of ORCID’s user-centric and highly responsive User Support team. This role involves providing excellent assistance and guidance to our diverse global user base, ensuring they can effectively utilize ORCID services.
Key Responsibilities
Respond to user inquiries via email and other communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to ORCID accounts, affiliations, and publications.
Document user interactions, common issues, and resolutions for knowledge base improvement.
Assist in the creation and updating of support documentation and FAQs.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in customer support or user assistance roles.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in using helpdesk software and ticketing systems.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
Familiarity with research or academic environments is a plus.
