Mercy Corps is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nutrition Program Manager to lead and implement impactful nutrition programs in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Job Overview

The Nutrition Program Manager will be responsible for the overall strategic direction, planning, implementation, and monitoring of Mercy Corps’ nutrition initiatives in Malaysia. This includes ensuring programs are evidence-based, responsive to local needs, and aligned with Mercy Corps’ global strategies and donor requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive nutrition program strategies and work plans.
  • Oversee the day-to-day management of nutrition projects, including budget management and activity implementation.
  • Ensure high-quality program delivery, adhering to best practices in nutrition and public health.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local partners, government agencies, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Monitor program progress, collect data, and prepare timely and accurate reports for internal and external audiences.
  • Provide technical guidance and capacity building to program staff and partners.
  • Represent Mercy Corps at relevant forums and coordination meetings.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Nutrition, Public Health, International Development, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in managing nutrition programs, preferably in a humanitarian or development context.
  • Demonstrated experience in program design, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
  • Strong understanding of nutrition challenges and interventions in the Malaysian context.
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English; proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
