Job Description
The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) is seeking applications for the position of Public Affairs & Reform Intelligence Officer in Abuja. This role is ideal for professionals passionate about economic reform, public policy, and national development, offering a unique opportunity to influence policy decisions and drive impactful reforms in Nigeria.
Role Overview
As a Public Affairs & Reform Intelligence Officer, you will be at the forefront of policy engagement, supporting NESG’s mission to shape national economic strategies. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring daily legislative, regulatory, and policy developments
- Maintaining and updating stakeholder databases
- Supporting high-level policy dialogues with government agencies, private sector leaders, and civil society organisations
- Tracking the implementation of economic and policy recommendations to ensure long-term impact and sustainability
Key Qualifications & Experience
To be eligible for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Political Science, Public Policy, Law, International Relations, or a related field
- 2–3 years of professional experience in a Think Tank, NGO, or Government Relations environment
- Strong understanding of Nigerian legislative and executive processes
- Knowledge of economic policy analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management abilities
