Job Overview
The Lead, Finance Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, financial planning and analysis, treasury, and compliance. This individual will drive financial strategies, optimize processes, and provide critical financial insights to support Verstand Resources Limited’s growth and mission in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance and efficiency.
Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions.
Ensure adherence to all relevant Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
Provide financial guidance and support to management and various departments.
Drive process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and operational effectiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) is a strong advantage.
Proven experience in financial operations management, preferably within a professional services environment in Nigeria.
In-depth knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards and tax regulations.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in financial management software.
