Job Overview

The Laboratory Associate will play a vital role in supporting laboratory operations that are critical to our TB, HIV/AIDS, and COVID-19 programs. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards in laboratory diagnostics and sample management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing laboratory tests and analyses according to established protocols.
  • Ensure proper collection, labeling, storage, and transportation of biological samples.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure it is in good working order.
  • Adhere to all safety and quality control procedures.
  • Accurately record and document test results.
  • Participate in inventory management of laboratory supplies.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Microbiology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., MLSCN).
  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in basic laboratory techniques.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
