Job Overview

The Head of Account will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and accounting functions within Genesis Group Nigeria Limited. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in financial management, reporting, and compliance, ensuring the fiscal health and sustainability of our extensive business interests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and reports.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the accounting team.
  • Manage cash flow and optimize financial resources.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional accounting certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA).
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS and Nigerian tax laws.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
