New Incentives is seeking dedicated and proactive Field Officers to join our impactful health-related cash transfer program in Nigeria. This role is crucial to ensuring the successful implementation and outreach of our initiative, which provides conditional cash transfers to pregnant women with at-risk pregnancies, incentivizing adherence to vital medical advice and treatment for healthier maternal and child outcomes.
Job Overview
As a Field Officer, you will be the frontline representative of New Incentives, directly engaging with program beneficiaries and healthcare providers. You will play a vital role in program delivery, community sensitization, and data collection, contributing significantly to our mission of saving lives and improving health in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct community outreach and sensitisation to raise awareness about the program.
- Identify and register eligible pregnant women according to program criteria.
- Verify beneficiary eligibility and provide them with program information.
- Facilitate the disbursement of conditional cash transfers.
- Monitor beneficiary adherence to program conditions and report any challenges.
- Collect and accurately record program data in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders and health workers.
- Identify and report any potential risks or issues affecting program implementation.
Requirements
- A minimum of a secondary school certificate or equivalent; tertiary education is an advantage.
- Prior experience in community-based programs, social work, or health outreach is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in local languages spoken in the operational areas.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use mobile data collection tools.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned rural communities.
