New Incentives is seeking dedicated and proactive Field Officers to join our impactful health-related cash transfer program in Nigeria. This role is crucial to ensuring the successful implementation and outreach of our initiative, which provides conditional cash transfers to pregnant women with at-risk pregnancies, incentivizing adherence to vital medical advice and treatment for healthier maternal and child outcomes.

Job Overview

As a Field Officer, you will be the frontline representative of New Incentives, directly engaging with program beneficiaries and healthcare providers. You will play a vital role in program delivery, community sensitization, and data collection, contributing significantly to our mission of saving lives and improving health in Nigeria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct community outreach and sensitisation to raise awareness about the program.
  • Identify and register eligible pregnant women according to program criteria.
  • Verify beneficiary eligibility and provide them with program information.
  • Facilitate the disbursement of conditional cash transfers.
  • Monitor beneficiary adherence to program conditions and report any challenges.
  • Collect and accurately record program data in a timely manner.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local community leaders and health workers.
  • Identify and report any potential risks or issues affecting program implementation.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a secondary school certificate or equivalent; tertiary education is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in community-based programs, social work, or health outreach is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in local languages spoken in the operational areas.
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to use mobile data collection tools.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned rural communities.
