Job Overview

The Facility Officer will be instrumental in ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of all hospital facilities, contributing to a safe, functional, and conducive environment for patients, staff, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to managing infrastructure and services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the hospital’s physical infrastructure.
  • Implement and manage planned preventative maintenance programs for all building systems and equipment.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and service providers for repairs, renovations, and specialized maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the facility.
  • Manage inventory of facilities supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stock levels.
  • Respond promptly to facility-related issues and emergencies.
  • Supervise and train junior facilities staff as required.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, preferably within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong understanding of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
