Job Overview

The Import and Export Specialist will be responsible for managing all aspects of international trade operations for Coleman Technical Industries Limited, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and maximizing efficiency in import and export processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the import of raw materials and equipment necessary for cable manufacturing.
• Oversee and execute the export of finished electrical wires and cables to international markets.
• Prepare and process all necessary documentation, including customs declarations, bills of lading, and certificates of origin.
• Liaise with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and international suppliers and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all Nigerian and international trade laws, regulations, and tariffs.
• Monitor shipment status, resolve any logistical issues, and provide timely updates to relevant departments.
• Manage and optimize import/export costs and identify opportunities for savings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience (minimum 3-5 years) in import and export operations, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
• In-depth knowledge of customs procedures, international trade regulations, and incoterms.
• Proficiency in relevant software and documentation systems.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
