The Development Exchange Centre (DEC) in Nigeria, a dedicated membership-based non-governmental organization, is seeking a motivated Communication and Learning Assistant. DEC is committed to empowering women groups, communities, and NGOs across Nigeria through social and micro-financial services, fostering sustainable development and enhancing organizational capacity. Job Overview

The Communication and Learning Assistant will play a vital role in supporting DEC’s outreach, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building initiatives. This position involves assisting in the creation and dissemination of communication materials, facilitating learning events, and maintaining organizational records. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for development work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and disseminating communication materials (e.g., newsletters, social media content, reports).
  • Support the organization and facilitation of training workshops and learning sessions.
  • Maintain and update databases and contact lists for members and stakeholders.
  • Provide administrative support for communication and learning activities.
  • Assist in documenting project activities and outcomes.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Social Sciences, Education, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Prior experience in a similar role is an asset.
