Job Overview

The Biomedical Officer will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of medical equipment to ensure its safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and commission new medical equipment.
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of biomedical devices.
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Calibrate medical equipment to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and calibration activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on equipment usage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Biomedical Officer or in a similar role within a hospital setting.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing diverse medical equipment.
  • Strong understanding of medical device technology and its applications.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
