Job Overview
The Biomedical Officer will be responsible for the installation, calibration, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of medical equipment to ensure its safe and efficient operation. Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and commission new medical equipment.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance and scheduled servicing of biomedical devices.
- Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Calibrate medical equipment to manufacturer specifications and regulatory standards.
- Maintain detailed records of all maintenance, repair, and calibration activities.
- Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and relevant health and safety regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to clinical staff on equipment usage.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Biomedical Officer or in a similar role within a hospital setting.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing diverse medical equipment.
- Strong understanding of medical device technology and its applications.
