Job Overview
The Bank Reconciliation Assistant will play a vital role in supporting the Accounts team by meticulously reconciling bank statements with company records, identifying discrepancies, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for all company accounts.
- Investigate and resolve any discrepancies between bank statements and internal accounting records.
- Prepare and post journal entries related to reconciling items.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports and schedules.
- Maintain organized and accurate financial documentation.
- Liaise with banking institutions as required for account inquiries.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
