The Bible Society of Nigeria (BSN) is seeking a courteous, detail-oriented, and service-driven Guest Service Agent to support front desk and hospitality operations at its guest house in Ibadan. This role is responsible for ensuring a smooth guest experience from reservation to departure, while maintaining accurate records, coordinating with internal teams, and upholding BSN’s service and ethical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, confirm, and manage guest reservations accurately
  • Welcome guests, verify bookings, and handle check-in and check-out processes
  • Register guests and collect required details including personal information, nationality, and identification
  • Allocate rooms according to reservations and ensure accurate billing
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to maintain room readiness and high cleanliness standards
  • Communicate guest entitlements and arrangements to relevant departments, including the kitchen
  • Prepare and submit shift handover and daily activity reports
  • Provide guests with information on house rules, available services, amenities, and local directions
  • Attend to walk-in guests and promote available rooms
  • Post guest charges, process payments, and maintain accurate cash and billing records
  • Liaise regularly with housekeeping on room status and availability
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure timely resolution
  • Maintain a neat, organised, and welcoming front desk environment
  • Coordinate porters to assist guests with luggage and room access

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of National Diploma (ND) in Social Sciences, Hotel & Catering Management, or a related field
  • At least two (2) years of relevant experience in a reputable hotel or guest house
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to handle guest issues calmly and professionally
  • Computer literacy and basic knowledge of hotel front desk systems
  • Team-oriented, flexible, and able to work under pressure
  • Strong sense of integrity, security awareness, and attention to detail
  • Committed Christian with values aligned to the mission of the Bible Society of Nigeria
  • Result-driven with a passion for timely and quality service delivery
