Job Overview
The Laundry Attendant will be responsible for ensuring all hotel linens and guest garments are cleaned, pressed, and maintained to the highest standards, contributing to the overall guest experience and operational efficiency of the Bourdillon Hotel Abuja.
Key Responsibilities
- Sorting, washing, drying, and folding laundry according to established procedures.
- Operating and maintaining various laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
- Identifying and treating stains effectively to ensure pristine fabric quality.
- Pressing and ironing garments to meet hotel standards.
- Inspecting linens for damage or wear and removing them from circulation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the laundry area.
- Assisting with inventory of laundry supplies.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a laundry attendant in a hotel or similar environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of laundry chemicals and their proper usage.
- Ability to operate industrial laundry machinery.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights.
