Husk Power Systems is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Service Engineer to join our growing team in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Job Overview
The Senior Service Engineer will be responsible for the technical oversight, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Husk’s renewable energy generation and distribution infrastructure. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical expertise, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineering staff. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of reliability and service delivery that our customers depend on.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of solar power plants, battery storage systems, and microgrid infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize system uptime and performance.
- Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
- Provide technical guidance and training to field technicians and service teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of service processes and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy systems, particularly solar PV and battery storage.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring technologies.
- Strong understanding of grid-tied and off-grid microgrid operations.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
- Ability to travel to remote sites as needed.
