Job Overview

The Senior Service Engineer will be responsible for the technical oversight, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Husk’s renewable energy generation and distribution infrastructure. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, strong technical expertise, and the ability to lead and mentor junior engineering staff. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of reliability and service delivery that our customers depend on.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance of solar power plants, battery storage systems, and microgrid infrastructure.
• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules to maximize system uptime and performance.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement of necessary components.
• Provide technical guidance and training to field technicians and service teams.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of service processes and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and environmental standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in renewable energy systems, particularly solar PV and battery storage.
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and remote monitoring technologies.
• Strong understanding of grid-tied and off-grid microgrid operations.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken); knowledge of Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
• Ability to travel to remote sites as needed.
