Job Overview

The Senior Field Project Engineer will be instrumental in the successful execution and delivery of our projects in Nigeria. This role demands a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership, and hands-on experience in field project management within the energy sector. You will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of field projects, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards, and driving project milestones to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the technical execution of field projects from inception to handover.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant engineering standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Supervise and mentor field engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure seamless project progress.
• Conduct site inspections and technical assessments to identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies.
• Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring timely delivery and quality.
• Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Petroleum).
• Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in field project engineering within the energy sector.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex energy projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and documentation.
• Ability to work effectively in challenging field environments.
• Experience working in Nigeria or similar emerging markets is highly desirable.
