Independent Evaluation Consultant – FIFSAN Project

Action Against Hunger (ACF) Nigeria Ltd/GTE is seeking an experienced and independent evaluation consultant to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the French Initiative for Food Security and Nutrition (FIFSAN) Project. This consultancy offers a unique opportunity to assess the impact and effectiveness of our food security and nutrition interventions across Nigeria, contributing to evidence-based decision-making and program improvement.

Job Overview

The consultant will design and implement an independent evaluation framework to assess the FIFSAN Project’s outcomes, outputs, and sustainability. This role requires technical expertise in food security, nutrition programming, and evaluation methodologies. The consultant will work collaboratively with ACF teams, partners, and beneficiary communities to generate credible findings that inform future programming and donor accountability.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive evaluation methodology and data collection tools
• Conduct field assessments and interviews with stakeholders and beneficiaries
• Analyze quantitative and qualitative data using rigorous evaluation frameworks
• Prepare detailed evaluation reports with actionable recommendations
• Present findings to ACF management and French funding partners

Requirements

• Master’s degree in development studies, public health, or related field
• Minimum 8 years of evaluation experience in humanitarian/development contexts
• Proven expertise in food security and nutrition program evaluation
• Advanced proficiency in English and French
• Strong data analysis and report writing capabilities
