Job Overview

The Lead Architect will be responsible for overseeing the architectural vision, design development, and project execution for a diverse portfolio of construction projects within Contemporary Group Limited. This role demands a strategic thinker with exceptional design sensibility, strong leadership qualities, and a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception through to completion. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and functional outcomes of our developments, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the architectural design process for all projects, ensuring innovative and sustainable solutions.
  • Manage and mentor architectural teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
  • Develop and refine design concepts, master plans, and detailed architectural drawings.
  • Ensure all designs comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and client requirements.
  • Oversee the preparation of tender documents, specifications, and Bills of Quantities in collaboration with other consultants.
  • Engage with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to present designs and secure approvals.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance throughout the construction phase.
  • Stay abreast of emerging architectural trends, technologies, and materials.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.
  • Professional registration with the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON).
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in architectural design and project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading architectural teams and managing significant construction projects.
  • Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
  • Strong understanding of Nigerian building codes and construction practices.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
