Job Overview

The Design Manager will oversee all design aspects of the Kano-Maradi Railway Project, ensuring compliance with international standards and project specifications. This leadership position requires coordinating between engineering teams, clients, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality design solutions on schedule and within budget parameters.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage design teams and coordinate all design deliverables
• Ensure designs meet project requirements, safety standards, and regulatory compliance
• Supervise technical documentation and design reviews
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants throughout design phases
• Monitor project timelines and budget adherence
• Resolve design conflicts and implement corrective actions

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 8 years of experience in railway or infrastructure projects
• Demonstrated leadership and project management expertise
• Strong knowledge of railway design standards and practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Proficiency in CAD software and design tools
