Job Overview

The COGS Senior Analyst will be responsible for detailed financial analysis of Cost of Goods Sold across various product lines and markets. This role requires a strategic mindset to identify cost drivers, develop insights, and support business partners in achieving operational efficiency and profitability targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and report on COGS performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models for COGS forecasting and budgeting.
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to understand cost drivers and implement cost-saving initiatives.
  • Prepare insightful management reports and presentations on COGS performance and strategic recommendations.
  • Support ad-hoc financial analysis and project work related to COGS optimization.
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data related to COGS.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) in financial analysis, with a focus on COGS or similar cost accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is advantageous.
