Job Overview

The Procurement Officer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the procurement process, ensuring the acquisition of goods and services for Eko Maintenance Limited in a timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner. This role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of supply chain management principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Source, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers and vendors.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
  • Prepare and review purchase orders, requisitions, and bids.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment of supplies.
  • Manage supplier relationships and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement efficiency improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or in a similar role, preferably within the facility management or construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of procurement best practices and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian market and local suppliers is an advantage.
