Job Overview
The Investment Risk Officer will identify, analyze, and mitigate investment-related risks across AIICO’s diverse portfolio. This position reports to senior management and collaborates with investment, compliance, and finance teams to maintain robust risk governance and protect shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and assess investment portfolio risks including market, credit, and liquidity risks
- Develop and implement risk policies, frameworks, and control procedures
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis on investment positions
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports for management and regulatory bodies
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Nigeria guidelines and international standards
- Recommend risk mitigation strategies and investment adjustments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or related field
- 7+ years experience in investment risk management or financial services
- Professional certifications (CRM, FRM, or CFA) preferred
- Advanced proficiency in risk modeling and financial analysis tools
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian regulatory framework and international standards
