Job Overview
The Solar Installer will be responsible for the safe and efficient installation of solar photovoltaic systems for residential, commercial, and industrial clients across Nigeria. This role demands a strong understanding of electrical principles, safety protocols, and hands-on technical proficiency in assembling and connecting solar components.
Key Responsibilities
- Install solar panels, inverters, racking systems, and associated electrical equipment according to design specifications and local building codes.
- Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct site assessments to identify optimal placement for solar arrays and equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment on installation sites.
- Provide basic system explanations and user guidance to clients upon project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solar Installer or in a related electrical installation field.
- Strong knowledge of solar photovoltaic system components and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
- Physical stamina and ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within Nigeria.
