We are seeking a strategic and experienced Field CTO – Analytics & AI to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be instrumental in driving the adoption of our cutting-edge solutions within the North European market, focusing on the critical areas of data analytics and artificial intelligence.

Job Overview

The Field CTO – Analytics & AI will act as a senior technical advisor and strategist, engaging with enterprise clients and partners across North Europe. You will be responsible for articulating EDB’s vision for data and AI, demonstrating the transformative capabilities of our Postgres platform, and building strong technical relationships with C-level executives and key stakeholders. This role demands a deep understanding of modern data architectures, analytics, and AI, coupled with exceptional communication and strategic thinking skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a technical strategy for Analytics & AI within North Europe, aligned with EDB’s global objectives.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to enterprise clients, understanding their business challenges and demonstrating how EDB’s platform provides solutions.
• Lead high-level technical discussions, presentations, and workshops on data analytics, AI/ML, and Postgres-based solutions.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to refine go-to-market strategies and influence product roadmaps.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key technical influencers and decision-makers within target organizations.
• Contribute to thought leadership through white papers, blog posts, conference presentations, and industry events.
• Provide expert guidance on complex technical architectures, data migration, and implementation strategies.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in a similar Field CTO, Principal Architect, or senior technical leadership role focused on data analytics and AI.
• Deep understanding of modern data platforms, including cloud-native architectures, data warehousing, data lakes, and AI/ML frameworks.
• Proven expertise in Postgres and its capabilities for analytical and transactional workloads.
• Strong knowledge of North European market dynamics and enterprise technology landscapes.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and business audiences.
• Strategic thinker with a proven track record of influencing technical direction and driving successful outcomes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
