Job Overview
This role is integral to the strategic implementation and operational success of the Government of Japan-UNITAR’s Empowering Youth and Women Programme 2026. The incumbent will play a key part in fostering inclusive development, empowering young people and women in Sub-Saharan Africa through innovative training and capacity-building initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of programme activities.
- Support the development and delivery of training modules.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
- Monitor and report on programme progress and impact.
- Assist in managing programme budgets and resources efficiently.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (e.g., International Development, Gender Studies, Public Policy).
- Proven experience in programme management within development contexts.
- Strong understanding of youth and women empowerment issues in Sub-Saharan Africa.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
