Job Overview
The Forensic Manager will oversee all forensic investigation activities, managing a team of forensic specialists while maintaining the highest standards of evidence integrity and professional ethics. This position reports to senior leadership and serves as a subject matter expert in forensic science, digital investigations, and chain-of-custody protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise forensic investigations and evidence management processes
- Develop and implement forensic policies, procedures, and best practices
- Manage relationships with external forensic laboratories and expert consultants
- Ensure compliance with Nigerian and international forensic standards
- Train and mentor forensic staff on emerging technologies and methodologies
- Prepare detailed forensic reports and expert testimonies for legal proceedings
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Forensic Science, Criminal Justice, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of forensic management experience
- Strong knowledge of digital and physical forensics
- Professional certifications (ACE, IACIS, or equivalent) preferred
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Familiarity with Nigerian legal frameworks
