Job Overview

The Production Support Engineer – SQL will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing the SQL databases that power Varicent’s SaaS solutions. This role demands a strong understanding of SQL, database administration, and troubleshooting within a production environment. You will be a key player in resolving critical issues, ensuring data integrity, and contributing to the overall health and performance of our platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve production incidents related to SQL databases.
• Monitor database performance and implement optimizations.
• Perform SQL query tuning and performance analysis.
• Assist in the deployment and management of database changes.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to address production issues.
• Maintain documentation for database configurations and troubleshooting procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Support Engineer or in a similar database support role.
• Expertise in SQL, including complex querying, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with database administration tasks for SQL Server or similar relational databases.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Mexico and reside there.
