Job Overview

The Generator Operations Officer will be responsible for the efficient and safe operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Mikano’s generating sets within the Kano region. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong understanding of generator systems and a commitment to ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Overseeing the daily operation of generating sets, ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
• Performing routine maintenance, inspections, and minor repairs on generating equipment.
• Diagnosing and rectifying operational faults and technical issues promptly.
• Monitoring fuel levels, oil pressure, and other critical operating parameters.
• Maintaining accurate logs of operational data, maintenance activities, and incidents.
• Ensuring adherence to all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Collaborating with the technical team for major repairs and overhauls.

Requirements

• Proven experience in generator operations and maintenance.
• Strong technical knowledge of various generator models and their components.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues effectively.
