Job Overview

Petrogap Oil and Gas Limited seeks a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations within our Nigerian entity. This pivotal role will ensure the integrity of financial reporting, drive fiscal efficiency, and contribute significantly to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the company’s financial accounting, management accounting, and reporting systems.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Analyze financial data to provide actionable insights to management.

    • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) is essential.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in financial control, preferably within the oil and gas industry in Nigeria.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and Nigerian financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, ERP systems, and advanced Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
