Job Overview

The Inventory Officer / Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory within the food and beverage store, from procurement and receiving to storage and dispatch. The primary focus will be on minimizing waste, preventing stock discrepancies, and implementing cost-saving measures to optimize financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through regular stock takes and cycle counts.
  • Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and place orders for raw materials and finished goods.
  • Implement and enforce strict inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze cost data, identify variances, and report on expenditure.
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce food spoilage and waste.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.

  • Proven experience in inventory management and cost control, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Excel.
