Job Overview

The Audit Officer will be responsible for independently assessing and evaluating the effectiveness of Coisco’s internal controls, risk management processes, and governance operations. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance, safeguarding assets, and promoting operational efficiency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess financial, operational, and compliance risks.
  • Develop and execute audit plans, programs, and procedures.
  • Examine accounting records, financial statements, and other documentation.
  • Identify control weaknesses, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and well-supported audit reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and professional skepticism throughout audit engagements.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA) is a significant advantage.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in internal or external auditing, preferably within the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, auditing standards, and internal control frameworks.
  • Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
