Job Overview

The Technical Risk Management Lead will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive technical risk management framework for Egbin Power Plc. This role demands a proactive approach to identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential technical risks across all aspects of our power generation operations, ensuring the reliability and safety of our plant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement robust technical risk assessment methodologies and tools.
  • Identify, analyze, and prioritize technical risks to plant equipment, infrastructure, and processes.
  • Propose and implement mitigation strategies and action plans for identified risks.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of risk mitigation measures.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and maintenance teams to integrate risk management into daily activities.
  • Develop and maintain technical risk registers and contingency plans.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
  • Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).
  • Proven experience in technical risk management, preferably within the power generation or heavy industry sector.
  • Strong understanding of power plant operations and associated technical risks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in risk assessment techniques and software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Relevant professional certifications in risk management are advantageous.
