Job Overview

The Temporary User Support Specialist will be a vital member of ORCID’s user-centric and highly responsive User Support team. This role involves providing excellent assistance and guidance to our diverse global user base, ensuring they can effectively utilize ORCID services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to user inquiries via email and other communication channels in a timely and professional manner.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to ORCID accounts, affiliations, and publications.
  • Document user interactions, common issues, and resolutions for knowledge base improvement.
  • Assist in the creation and updating of support documentation and FAQs.
  • Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams as needed.
  • Requirements

  • Previous experience in customer support or user assistance roles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using helpdesk software and ticketing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with research or academic environments is a plus.
