Job Overview

The Maintenance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of all MeWe Electronics’ manufacturing and operational equipment. This role requires a proactive and skilled individual who can oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, including preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance strategies. You will lead a team of skilled technicians, manage maintenance budgets, and implement best practices to minimize downtime and maximize operational efficiency across our Nigerian facilities.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all machinery and equipment to ensure peak operational performance and minimize unexpected breakdowns.
* Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
* Oversee the scheduling and execution of all corrective maintenance tasks, responding promptly to equipment failures and implementing effective repair solutions.
* Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential issues, hazards, and areas for improvement, proactively addressing them.
* Manage the procurement of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies, ensuring adequate inventory levels and cost-effective purchasing.
* Develop and manage the annual maintenance budget, tracking expenses and identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or safety.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in maintenance operations.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to optimize equipment performance, troubleshoot issues, and support new equipment installations and upgrades.

Requirements

* A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
* Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a maintenance management role, preferably within the manufacturing or electronics industry.
* Proven experience in developing and implementing successful preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a technical workforce.
* Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
* Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
* Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental best practices in an industrial setting.
